The Kaibab Plateau and Kaibab National Forest offer abundant opportunities for the photographer to find beauty. National catalogs come to the Kaibab to shoot product and background photography as do tours of amateur and professional photographers. Jacob Lake Inn is a wonderful place to use as the hub for your explorations of this beautiful part of the world. Jacob Lake Inn's location, at just 44 miles from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, often allows the photographer to shoot an evening's worth of beautiful photographs as the sun sets at the rim of the Grand Canyon and still get back for a hot meal. In the spring, the vales, hills, and meadows are covered in Lupine, Penstamen, Indian Paintbrush, and many other beautiful wildflowers. In the fall, the aspens and oaks burst into beautiful reds and golds all over "the mountain lying down." With viewpoints looking out across Marble Canyon and the Echo Cliffs to the East for sunrises, and the Kanab Creek Wilderness to the West, as well as a multitude of views of the Grand Canyon, the Kaibab Plateau offers an abundance of beauty to bedazzle and bewitch photographers of any skill level.
