Come and join us in the Kaibab National Forest. This is an amazing area full of incredible scenery, unique wildlife, and great opportunities for recreation. That is a lot to pack into one sentence and can be a lot to pack into one vacation. For that reason we at North Rim Touring and Jacob Lake Inn feel that one of the best ways to experience all the Kaibab has to offer is on a mountain bike. Mountain bikes provide the up close feeling of hiking and walking, while adding another element of fun and excitement gained by cruising through the outdoors.
There are countless trails, fire roads and service roads that wind in and out of the backcountry of this beautiful forest. These trails provide access to the most
Magnificent viewpoints and destination areas on the Kaibab Plateau and are perfect for bike riding. There are trails that meet the skill level of everyone from young children to expert riders. If your goal is to have an easy ride through the forest while taking in the scenery, if you want to take your family out for a great activity, or if you want a technical and intense ride, then we have the trail for you.
As you are out on the trail you will be exposed to the diverse wildlife, geology and geography of the region. To help you have the best experience possible we are prepared to tell you about all of the different features of this area.
Don't worry about bringing food of your own we have everything that you could need from sack lunches to take with you on the trail to cookies and milkshakes for the post-ride celebration. All you have to worry about is the ride.
